It took West End United 4 games to get any points in their 2020 playoff run in a very tight mach against Deportivo Real 45. Tomasz S. helped getting West End on the board fighting hard in the penalty box to win the ball and setup Bartek for his first of the night. Mark then make sure the score stays in West End’s advantage taking care between the post saving a penalty shot. Deportivo got on event terms taking advantage of a 3 on 1 situation as West End got caught on a counterattack midway through the first half. With the score 2 – 1 in Deportivo’s favor, Bartek exploded beating the last defenseman and unleashing a bullet which beat the keeper on the short side for his second of the night. Deportivo took their lead back in the 20th minute and with 4 minutes remaining, Alberto got West End back on event terms with his third goal of the playoffs with a wonderful left-footed finish leaving the keeper no chance. And with 12 seconds left in the match Mark’s goal clearance found its way to Alberto who almost won the match for West End with a nice hall-field volley to try to beat the out of position keeper just missing the net by no more than a few inches.
