First meeting of the 2019/2020 season between West End United and visiting Powerplay FC was a close, low scoring affair.  Janusz got things going for West End in the 6th minute of the match with a great individual effort for his 3rd of the season.  West End kept looking for that second elusive goal to give themselves some breathing room, but unfortunately went into the half time break frustrated.  Early in the second half Powerplay FC  finally got on the board with a very good header from a set piece that beat Mark on the short side.  The equalizing goal gave Powerplay a bit of jump in their step and with West End starting to lose the one-on-one battles and the control of the midfield, Powerplay scored their winning goal – a lobbing header that found its way into the net behind Mark.  Oscar came very close to tying the game for West End in the dying minutes with a reverse volley that somehow stayed out of the net after ricocheting off of the post.  A disappointing 4th defeat for West End to mark the end of the first half of the season.
