West End United remains winless as they lose their 3rd consecutive playoff game to top seated Victoria. West End came out well-organized defensively and created a couple very good scoring opportunities in the first 20 minutes of the match to take the lead, but Victoria got on the scoreboard first in the 24th minute of the match. Ultimately, West End was forced into half-time with a 2-goal deficit. In the early stages of the second half Oscar reduced Victoria’s lead to one goal on a wonderful long-distance finish for his second goal of the post season. Victoria however, regained their 2-goal lead quickly and Oscar again had an opportunity to gain some ground for West End from a penalty kick. Unfortunately, and uncharacteristically he misplayed the ball and sent right at the keeper. With the score at 4 – 1 in Victoria’s favour in the latter stages of the second half Bartek found a well-placed corner kick ball from Leszek and headed his first of the playoffs past Victoria’s helpless keeper. In the absence of injured Mark, Greg stood his ground in net, but in the end, Victoria took the 3 points in a 5 – 2 win.
