West End United played their second match of the season against MC United Legends on their home turf. MC got on the board first from an 8-yard free kick which was awarded from a weak back-pass-to-keeper call. Glen got West End back on level terms with a very well-placed left-footed shot. West End then got themselves into trouble with 2 consecutive penalty shots which put MC United up by 2. They added one more before the end of the half and West End started the second half down by 3. The penalty troubles continued in the second half as MC was awarded another 2 which they did not take advantage of missing both of them above the net. However, West End got caught on a couple counter attacks and MC was well on their way with a 6 – 1 lead with about 20 minutes left. Not giving up, West End managed to tighten up the score with a goal from Glenn for his second of the match and one from Keith with a well-placed shot into the bottom half of the net. Over all a pretty good match for West End but they will have to tighten up their defense and sort out their midfield which has been a problem since the 2017/2018 season.
