For the last game of 2019, West End United went on the road to take on Parkland FC on their home turf. With a 5-way tie for the second spot in the division and only 4 games remaining in the season this was a must win for West End. Parkland opened up the scoring the first 15 minutes of the half taking advantage of West End’ only defensive break-down of the match. Karl got West End back on even terms on a great individual effort splitting Parkland’s defense and burring the ball the left bottom corner of the net for his first of the season. West End, “lifted” by Karl goal started to pick up their game but were forced into half time break tied 1 – 1. In the second half both teams created some glorious scoring opportunities but both keepers kept the score line unchanged until the midway mark. It was Bartek serving Alberto with a great pass after a bit of a scrimmage in the penalty box for Alberto’s third goal of the season. West end kept pressing and with 10 minutes remaining in the match Justin “exploded” on the left side beautifully finishing a pass from Oscar beating the keeper on the short side for his first of the season.
