West End United finally get their allusive first win of the season with a convincing 6 -1 win over the Deportivo Real 45. Nathan got the ball rolling early in the first half with his second goal of the season and after some creative passing play, Bartek setup Nathan for a tap-in for his second goal of the night. Deportivo answered with a goal of their own towards the end of the first half taking advantage of the only real breakdown in West End defensive line however, West End took over the game for the remainder of the game in the second half. Alberto scored his first goal of the season after stealing the ball from Deportivo’s keeper and shortly after Bartek extended West End’ lead to 4 -1 with a steal of his own in the penalty box. Kevin executed a well-placed long-distance free-kick for his first of the season and Alberto and Oscar combined for West End’s sixth goal of the night with Oscar hammering a great strike from outside the box after receiving a beautiful feed from Alberto’s corner kick. Overall a great team effort with goals coming from defense, midfield and offense. Daniel had an outstanding game between the pipes and kept the West End engine firing on all cylinders to get his all-important win with only one game remaining before the end of the year.
